The figures for Cevisama 2008

The official figures for Cevisama 2008 contradict the initial impressions gained by exhibitors at the show.
According to the organisers' figures, the 2008 edition of the Spanish ceramic tile and bathroom furnishings exhibition, which this year also hosted the machinery manufacturers, registered a 4.8% increase in attendance: 102,000 visitors compared to last year's 97,000.
There were particularly substantial increases in foreign visitors, up by 9% to a total of 13,869 from 145 different countries.
The most numerous group were the French at more than 2,000, followed by Italians (1,600) and Portuguese (1,100). Europe was the most strongly represented continent accounting for more than 75% of the foreign buyers at the show.
Another significant figure was the approximately 50% increase in numbers of professional visitors, particularly architects and interior designers.

The next Cevisama will be held, again in Valencia, from 10 to 13 February 2009.
