Fincibec optimises its plant with Siti B&T equipment

By installing new combustion systems on a double channel kiln, the well-known Italian tile manufacturer Fincibec has achieved a 15% saving in gas consumption while at the same time improving finished product quality.

The installation was made by Siti B&T using the innovative high-efficiency combustion systems developed by its Greenenergy division.

The heat energy recovery retrofit enables hot air to be supplied both to the burners inside the kiln and to the burners in the drying chambers of the vertical dryers currently in operation in the pressing department.

Adding special heat exchanger tubes installed in the slow cooling area of the kiln and splitting the cooling air suction helped to bring energy savings by raising the temperature of the recycled air to over 220°C.

Furthermore, by installing the supervisor management and control system, Fincibec is able to monitor the energy recovery parameters in terms of air volume, temperature and required energy.
