Ghani Ceramics (Pakistan) doubles capacity with Sacmi

Sacmi has supplied a new 359.9-meter-long FCC kiln with a capacity of 25,000 m²/day, as well as two new PHC 8200 presses.

Sacmi has taken its partnership with Ghani Ceramics (Pakistan) to the next level by providing a second FCC kiln to produce large-size ceramic tiles. With a length of 359.9 meters and width of 2,950 mm, this is the largest and most efficient kiln ever to operate at the customer’s plant in Lahore and is set to produce 25,000 m²/day of porcelain tiles.

The new kiln will be fed by two Sacmi PHC 8200 ‘Red Edition’ presses, the most powerful in the range: compared to the previous generation of machines, these boost productivity by 20% and reduce consumption.

This project is a key part of Ghani's growth strategy, which looks to expand the product and size ranges for both the domestic and export markets. The integration of the new line - which has higher-tonnage presses and one of Pakistan’s longest roller kilns - will boost both volumes and versatility, with a focus on the 60x120, 75x150, 80x160 and even the 90x180 cm formats.

The new line joins its forerunner, which has been operating successfully at Ghani Ceramics for years. The key technologies of the first plant were also supplied by Sacmi, including two PHC 4300 presses and a 201-meter FCC kiln with an output capacity of 13,000 m²/day.

Consistent and repeatable quality, simplified management and maintenance and outstanding reliability are Sacmi hallmarks, as Ghani's renewed pursuit of growth goals demonstrates.

With the addition of this new kiln, Ghani Ceramics has become the biggest manufacturer of floor tiles in Pakistan.

This co-developed project saw the two technical teams collaborate closely. The result: operational continuity and maximum integration with existing plants.
