Gian Carlo Muzzarelli to open Tecnargilla 2010

 

Gian Carlo Muzzarelli, the production activities officer for Regione Emilia Romagna, will be cutting the ribbon for the 22nd Tecnargilla, the world’s foremost exhibition of supplies to the ceramic and brick industries to be held from Monday 27 September to Friday 1 October in the Rimini exhibition centre.

The exhibition will be attended by leading producers of ceramic tiles, sanitaryware, tableware, bricks and roof tiles and advanced ceramics from all over the world, welcomed by more than 450 exhibitors who will be displaying the most innovative technology in an area of 65,000 square metres. As usual, the finest technologies for producing tomorrow’s ceramics will be on display at the show.

Besides the opening ceremony at 11.00 a.m. in the Central Hall of Rimini Fiera, the first day of the show will feature a packed programme of events. Straight after the ribbon-cutting ceremony, attended by Gian Carlo Muzzarelli, Rimini Fiera Chairman Lorenzo Cagnoni, Acimac Chairman Pietro Cassani, trade association management and major businessmen, the international press conference will take stock of the state of the ceramic machinery industry and the world trends in production and consumption of ceramic tiles.

The afternoon conference programme will begin at 2.30 p.m. with a seminar entitled: “Investing in China: situation and prospects”, where the director of the Guangzhou branch of the Italian Trade Commission ICE, Paolo Lemma, representatives of the Foshan local government and entrepreneurs will discuss the possibilities that the Chinese market offers Italian businesses.

This will be followed at 5.00 p.m. in the Central Hall of the exhibition centre by the opening of the Ceramic Workshop, the exhibition space devoted to new trends, and the award ceremony for the first edition of the Tecnargilla Design Awards presented in recognition of the latest technological innovations, this year focusing on digital decoration.
