Gladymar and the Vertical Milling System from LB

The Bolivian ceramic company Gladymar, a major producer of floor and wall tiles belonging to Grupo Industrial Roda, has signed an agreement with LB to replace its dry body preparation line with the innovative Vertical Milling System technology as part of an investment programme aiming to modernise its production lines.

The plant designed by LB and currently being installed will be able to cover the company’s entire output, which by the end of 2010 will reach 700,000 sq.m/month of high-quality single fired tiles. The technical and construction characteristics of the Vertical Milling System allow it to achieve high productivity with extremely fine particle sizes, resulting in improved finished product quality. The heart of the process consists of the MRV 200 vertical roller mill and the GRC 700 continuous humidification system (LB patent).
