GMM Group completes energy efficiency upgrade for Gresmalt

Phase two of the programme to replace the existing electric motors with GMM Group’s new IE4 Green Power motors is now complete.

GMM Group recently completed the second phase of an energy efficiency upgrade for the Gresmalt Group, a leading player in the Italian ceramic industry. The initiative combines technological expertise with industrial vision, reaffirming a shared commitment to ever more sustainable and efficient production models.

The project, developed in collaboration with Innomotics, saw the continuation of the programme to replace existing electric motors with new high-efficiency IE4 units from the GMM Group’s Green Power range. These motors have an advanced technical configuration designed to optimise energy consumption, reliability and ease of maintenance.

Following an initial phase involving 40 motors, this latest stage consolidates a structured plant modernisation programme aimed at reducing energy consumption, lowering CO₂ emissions and improving production performance.

The installed motors were selected to ensure high reliability, ease of maintenance and operational continuity and deliver tangible benefits in terms of both cost savings and environmental performance.

With this project, GMM Group reaffirms its role as a technical partner for manufacturing companies looking to invest in sustainability, innovation and energy efficiency, thereby transforming real production needs into measurable results.
