Gres Aragón doubles its capacity in the clinker segment
Gres Aragón, one of Europe’s top manufacturers of extruded ceramic stoneware (clinker), has manufacturing facilities in the town of Alcañiz (Teruel), the capital of the Spanish region of Bajo Aragón and close to one of the largest clay deposits in the world.
With a market presence dating back more than 70 years, Gres Aragón produces pavers, special pieces, tiles for swimming pools and recently also ventilated façades, in a range that comprises over 900 items.
During its more than half century of steady growth, the Spanish company has always aimed to deliver excellent quality products with the highest technical performance, backing up its manufacturing operations with constant investments in technology and R&D.
By the summer of this year it will start up a new complete line commissioned from Sacmi Heavy Clay, which it will use to produce a wide range of products in very small and very large sizes.
This solution will integrate with the existing plant and will combine quality with a high degree of automation and energy savings. We spoke to José Manuel Grao, Product Manager at Gres Aragón.
