Imerys Ceramics launches EZ Print 3D™
The innovative ready-to-use system for 3D printers allows for rapid prototyping of ceramic items such as tableware, pottery and sanitaryware.
Imerys Ceramics, one of the world’s leading suppliers of industrial mineral solutions and kiln furniture, has launched EZ Print 3D™, a range of ready-to-use plastic ceramic feedstocks for additive manufacturing with PDM (Paste Deposition Modelling) technology.
These new feedstocks are suitable for rapid prototyping of tableware, pottery and sanitaryware and are ideal for use by company R&D departments and fab labs.
Advantages include shorter design times, clean workstations and maximum design freedom, as well as high product quality standards (water absorption below 0.5%, low pyroplasticity) and stable and repeatable performance.
This innovative solution guarantees a rapid return on investment and is a result of Imerys Ceramics’ major investments in R&D.
The group operates worldwide with around 18,000 employees and posted revenues of 4.6 billion euros in 2017. Due to recent inflationary pressures in international markets and rising costs of energy, mining, manufacturing, packaging and transport of raw materials, the group has announced price increases which will come into effect on 1 January 2019.
