Kaleseramik, new investments in large-format tiles and slabs

Building on a strong recovery in the first half of 2025, Kale has announced upcoming investments, including the doubling of the Sinterflex line.

In the face of global economic uncertainty, geopolitical tensions and high inflation, Kaleseramik closed 2024 with resilience and determination, firmly aligned with its strategic goals and ending the year in step with expectations.

Despite the contraction in domestic demand, the Turkish ceramic group pursued a series of technology investments aimed above all at operational and process efficiency, greater production line flexibility and the expansion of its product portfolio. This came as the Turkish ceramic industry saw production volumes decline for the third consecutive year (national output fell by 14.5% to 318 million sqm), despite a strong recovery in exports, which rose to 101 million sqm.

In 2024, we have focused on forward-looking investments both at an industrial level and in international markets”, Kaleseramik’s General Manager, Timur Karaoğlu, tells us. “In July we had announced two pioneering technology projects, both of which were completed in the following months. The first, carried out with System Ceramics, was a €15 million investment that enabled us to produce super-thin porcelain panels with a thickness of just 2 mm for the first time in Türkiye.

The second project, in partnership with SITI B&T, involved the installation of a Supera line, which enabled us to become the first company in Türkiye to produce 120x280 cm panels with a thickness of 6 mm, further strengthening our leadership in high-value architectural solutions. This second line was inaugurated during the Ceramic Day 2025 celebrations on 27 July 2025”.

Further investments aimed at international expansion. The most important was the factory in Iraq, in partnership with Al-Sadaf Porcelain.

The first-year results clearly show that we are on the right path”, says Karaoğlu. “Thanks to the logistical advantages, we can now supply more quickly and cost-effectively, strengthening our competitiveness against other international brands. Our goal in Iraq is to reach an annual capacity of 2 million sqm and revenues of $20 million”.

In 2025, Kaleseramik is reaping the benefits of the work carried out last year. The company reported a strong recovery in revenue in the first half of the year (+36% compared to the first half of 2024) and performance above the industry average. New investments were announced during the 68th anniversary celebrations held on 27 July. The Group has allocated $35 million, raised through our IPO, to projects focused on efficiency, digital transformation and sustainability. Most importantly, Kale officially announced the doubling of the Sinterflex line with the installation of a new Superfast line and System Ceramics digital printers, which will be operational from 2026.
