Keraben Grupo chooses Durst digital technology
Durst has completed a major new order for Keraben Group in Spain.
The Spanish group, which already uses the Durst Gamma 75 HD inkjet printer, has increased its production capacity with the start-up of the new Gamma 98 XD, which boasts a modular design based on a variable number of colour bars (from 3 to 8), a printing width from 319 mm to 956 mm, a native resolution from 300 to 1000 dpi and 4 greyscale levels.
Like all Gamma XD printers, it uses self-calibrating printheads equipped with High Definition Printhead Technology which can be positioned just 1 mm from the tiles and replaced by the operator in 10-15 minutes. The innovative conveyor and centring system and the thickness reading sensors allow for automatic printhead adaptation, thus avoiding line stoppages and minimising adjustments.
One of the advantages of the XD range is the auto-purge function which eliminates ink losses on the conveyor belt.
Adaptive Dot Placement technology is able to automatically compensate for colour differences in patterns with solid backgrounds, creating droplets with different sizes up to 200 pl directly on the nozzle bar.
