Kerafrit, Neos Additives and Natucer win the Alfa de Oro awards 2015

Once again this year Cevisama (Valencia, 9-13 February) hosted the presentation ceremony for the 39th Alfa de Oro awards, conferred by the Spanish Ceramic and Glass Society (SECV) for the most innovative technologies developed in the Castellón ceramic cluster. This year the prestigious awards went to Kerafrit, Neos Additives and Natucer.

Kerafrit received the award for having developed Kershield, a technology applied to ceramic tiles that acts as a shield against ionising radiation (such as low and high-energy X-rays), resulting in a highly innovative new building material.

Neos Additives won the award for having developed vapour-permeable glazes which can be applied to low-density ceramic bodies. The research project carried out in cooperation with ceramic tile manufacturers Azuliber and Bestile opens up potential for the use of ceramic tiles in new building applications, such as on ceilings.

Natucer was granted the Alfa de Oro award for having developed ceramic tiles for use in urban design and custom projects. Here too the award was presented in recognition of new opportunities for using high added-value ceramic products.
