Keramir focuses on new sizes with SACMI PH3800
Equipped with the CRS rapid mould change system, the new press will enable the St. Petersburg-based company to take a big step forward in terms of technology.
As part of its plant upgrade programme aimed at developing new tile models and sizes, the St. Petersburg-based ceramic tile manufacturer Keramir has installed and started up a new PH3800 press from Sacmi. This will enable the Russian company to expand its range with the introduction of sizes up to 300x600 mm and 200x500 mm, which it intends to use to enter new market segments.
The press is equipped with Sacmi’s CRS rapid mould change system with permanent magnet fixing and a handling and centring device that allows the mould to be inserted by a single operator without the need for any other tools, thereby reducing times and dimensions and increasing safety.
Thanks to excellent collaboration between the Sacmi team and Keramir’s technical staff, the press was installed in perfect harmony with the existing plant layout without the need for structural work in the factory. After-sales support is guaranteed by the local market presence of Sacmi Moscow.
