Kryo technology from Smac goes to Germany
A Kryo F.90 tile cooling system developed by Fiorano-based company Officine Smac for use with Durst digital printers was installed in March at the V&B Fliesen factory in Merzig, which produces tiles under the Villeroy & Boch brand name.
The cooling technology developed and patented by Smac uses a double closed cycle system to eliminate steam released from tiles entering the digital printer. This drastically reduces machine stoppage times for head cleaning and consequently increases productivity.
