Tile Cooling Systems

The latest deliveries in January bring to 15 the number of Smac Kryo coolers in operation at the Cooperativa Ceramica d’Imola Group’s facilities.​

Savoia Italia (Moma Group) has installed Smac’s D-Glaze, K-Flow and Klima technologies as part of a glazing department ugprade at its Fiorano and Sassuolo facilities.

The Fiorano Modenese, Italy-based company received two new important orders in India in the last months.

Recent orders include those to Kale Group, Cooperativa Ceramica d’Imola, Villeroy & Boch and Crossville.

Eolo is able to reduce the temperature by around 5-10 °C and totally eliminate water evaporation from the tiles’ surface before infeed to the digital machine.

Tekmak has continued its research efforts in this field and the company is now presenting version 3.0, Igloo Cube, the most innovative and revolutionary version in terms of energy consumption, dimensions and performance.

Igloo reduces the surface temperature by up to 12-14°C and also removes up to 90% of glaze surface moisture.

Polar and Easy Polar are the innovative cooling systems from Createch which are designed to eliminate steam from tiles prior to digital decoration.

The current model unveiled at Tecnargilla 2014 was specially designed to achieve maximum performance in terms of tile cleaning and cooling while keeping down electricity consumption and noise levels.

Kryo remains a key technology for the Italian group and has also been adopted for its international branches.

Kale Group, Villeroy & Boch and Gloria Ceramics have confirmed the validity of the Kryo system from Smac and have expanded their existing machinery with new installations.

From 23 September to 7 October, Createch (Certech Group) is opening its factory gates to showcase its latest new tile glazing machines.

Eefa Ceram installs 15 Breezer ICE³ cooling systems from Sertile.

A Kryo F.130 cooler was recently installed at the new plant for the production of large ceramic panels.

The Kryo tile cooling system has been adopted by V&B Fliesen for its Merzig factory.

A complete glazing line and 2 Kryo cooling devices for the digital decoration line have been installed in the Camposanto facility.

In late 2014 the Turkish group installed 8 Kryo coolers on its digital lines
