Large-size slabs take the spotlight at the Fuorisalone event held in the bt-Space
More than 200 Italian and foreign ceramic producers, journalists and designers converged on the SITI BT Group’s bt-Space in Fiorano for the “Fuorisalone” event held during the week of Cersaie and Tecnargilla. The theme of the event was beauty, celebrated in seven different settings decorated with 1x3 metre slabs in a wide range of solutions and finishes, including thicknesses of up to 30 mm with through-vein full-body decorations for horizontal surfaces and textured, honed and polished surfaces.
The slabs were produced using all the technologies developed by the SITI BT Group: the graphic projects of Digital Design, the SUPERA® shaping line and the new energy saving processes in the drying and firing stages (the XL Titanium® Wave variable-roof kiln, the Titanium® Slab double-channel kiln and the Easy Dry modular horizontal dryer).
The slabs were decorated using the latest solutions in the Full Digital Line from Projecta Engineering: Innova®, the new digital printer equipped with a unique Industry 4.0 control centre and designed with water-based eco-compatible technology, and Evo DryFix 2.0 for dry material applications.
Ancora solutions were used for all finishing processes, including dry honing on the patented PoliDry line followed by surface treatment with high aesthetic content using Luxury technology, and finally squaring performed on a new Industry 4.0 machine equipped with automatic spindle movement and laser detection of grinding wheel consumption.
bt-Space also featured a “spa & wellness” area hosting a number of items of sanitaryware produced in the Siti BT Technology Centre using BT White technologies. These included Maverick Evo for multi-mould shaping, the only solution on the market capable of producing WCs with special shapes and sizes.
