Laticrete expands in Europe

LATICRETE® International, a leading manufacturer of globally proven construction solutions for the building industry, has acquired Benfer Schomburg of Castelnuovo Rangone (Modena).
Benfer produces adhesives and sealants for ceramic and natural stone floor and wall coverings with an impressive track record in terms of growth and customer base. The general management of the company will continue under the direction of Giorgio Cocchi, owner of Benfer, with support from Edmondo Bonucelli, Laticrete Regional Director of Europe. Laticrete and Benfer are complementary in terms of their product offerings and market penetration. “This acquisition is an important step forward for us as part of our strategic plan for continued international expansion, through the introduction of new production and business support in Europe,” said Erno de Bruijn, President & COO Laticrete International Division.
New products developed recently by Laticrete Europe include a new range of seamless indoor and outdoor flooring systems that combine extraordinary aesthetic results with unrivalled technical performance, as well as unlimited dimensions and choice of colours (polyaspartic, epoxy and polyurethane coatings, a Green Flooring system and a Roofing Waterproofing range).
In other commercial news, Laticrete Europe has announced new success in the UK where in June the tile retailer Topps Tiles launched the Hydro Ban® insulating shower membrane across its 370 stores. The product is manufactured and supplied by Laticrete UK together with the its UK partner Palace Chemicals Ltd in 5 litre size pails.
