LB supplies Kerakoll's Brazilian plant
Commissioned in March this year, the new Kerakoll factory in Brazil is located in Jundiai (São Paulo) and has a production capacity of around 40,000 tonnes/year.
LB is continuing its business cooperation with Kerakoll Group, a world leader in the supply of Dry Mortars, by designing and supplying the production plant commissioned in March this year in Jundiai in the state of São Paulo, Brazil.
The plant, including storage, batching and mixing stages, was equipped with all the devices necessary to optimise raw materials handling and ensure the maximum production flexibility. The plant extends over a total floor space of around 5,000 square metres and has a production capacity of 40,000 tonnes/year.
For Kerakoll, a Sassuolo-based multinational led by Luca Sghedoni, the start-up of the new plant is part of a broader Brazilian market penetration strategy aimed at establishing the company as a key partner for architects and major clients and with an increasing focus on green and low-environmental-impact technologies.
For this purpose, at the beginning of the year Kerakoll announced a 25 million euro investment programme for the two-year period 2018-2019, which along with the new factory also included the acquisition of a local player (Cimentolit) and the creation of an R&D laboratory for the development of sustainable technological solutions.
