Litokol and LB strengthen their partnership
Two major Italian companies, the machinery supplier LB of Fiorano Modenese and the adhesives, grouts and special building products producer Litokol of Rubiera, are strengthening their partnership in Eastern Europe. Litokol has commissioned LB to design and build the necessary machinery to double the lines at its Russian factories in Noginsk near Moscow and also to supply the technologies required to start up a state-of-the-art plant extending over a total area of 8,000 sq.m in Yerevan, Armenia. “The main characteristic of this latter supply package (for Litokol AM Ltd, which has been operating since November 2008) is the design and installation of a “hybrid” plant capable of producing adhesives, ready-mixed cement-based products and gypsum-based plaster, with a full-capacity production of 250 tons per shift,” explained Claudio Ruozzi, logistics and purchasing manager of the Litokol group. The plant will enable Litokol to enter the local plaster market, which is also developing rapidly.
The LB equipment will guarantee the technical characteristics and outstanding quality of Litokol products. Ruozzi believes this is the “best Italian technology available on the market”. With their innovative mixing systems and the most advanced technologies for transport, storage, milling, drying, screening, weighing and batching of powders, LB plants are multifunctional technological systems capable of meeting a wide range of production requirements with the utmost flexibility.
