Megacolor expands
Megacolor, the Onda, Castellón-based company specialising in the research and supply of ceramic colours, reported a trend-bucking performance last year. 2009 ended with similar sales volumes to 2008 but a slight decrease in turnover (-5%) due to the small fall in prices caused by the fierce competition in world markets.
The positive results were attributable to the increase in numbers of customer served, both in Spain and abroad, and to the greater number of products supplied. Exports are shipped mainly to markets in South America, the Middle East and Russia, which together with the large Asian market are expected to continue to grow in the future. The aim of the company’s owner Luis Sidro is to achieve a 10% increase in turnover in 2010 compared to 2009. Megacolor, founded in 2002, has 10 employees in the Onda facility and 3 in the laboratory and warehouse in Foshan (China).
