M&S DryTech technology for ceramics of the future in China
Manfredini & Schianchi has taken on a key role in the challenge of reusing industrial production waste with a supply contract to Shandong V-Tong, a Chinese manufacturer which is set to open its new factory in the city of Zibo in early 2017.
The supplied plant, based on eco-friendly Ms-DryTech technology, will be able to produce a very unusual ceramic product obtained from cement works production waste (up to 75%). After being suitably homogenised together with plastic raw materials during the grinding phase in the Molomax 4/150 mill, these waste products can be used to obtain a ceramic body with the same characteristics as porcelain tile.
This new approach to ceramic production will open up new opportunities for the reuse of industrial waste, allowing for the rehabilitation of heavily polluted industrial areas for truly eco-sustainable development.
