New Dal-Tile plant in Mexico
It will be the second plant for the American company in Mexico.
The investment of 100 million dollars will create over 500 new jobs.
The plant will be launched during 2008 and will have a production capacity of 15 million square meters.
Eugenio Martínez, vice-president of Dal-Tile in Mexico, made it clear that the choosing of Coahuila was due to different competitive factors, for example, its closeness to the U.S., the region's infrastructure (such as gas) and the welcome shown by the local community and the support offered by the state.
The production from the new plant will naturally serve the Mexican market, but also the U.S. and Canadian markets.
