The new decade begins with MADE expo 2010

The third edition of MADE expo, International exhibition of structures, design, architecture and building techniques, will be opening shortly in the new Milan exhibition centre in Rho-Pero (3 to 6 February 2010).
The large 80,000 square metre exhibition space will host more than 1,500 companies representing all segments of the building industry who will showcase the latest new products they are intending to launch onto the market.

Around thirty ceramic and terracotta floor tile manufacturers will be taking part, including market leaders such as: Atlas Concorde, Marazzi, Ergon (Emilceramica group), Granitifiandre, Florim, Del Conca, Coop. Ceramica d'Imola, Cotto D'Este, Laminam, Appiani, Acquario Due and Il Palagio.
Amongst other types of floor covering materials: Arbol, Cosentino Group, De Checchi Luciano, Effebiquattro, Edilizia e Servizi, Fassa Bortolo, Gecoglass, Gruppo Made, Industrie Cotto Possagno, Listone Giordano, Mapei, Polyglass, Profilpas, RPM, Schluter System Italia, Seyshelles, Sicis, Stile, Stone Italiana, Wed Italia and Wood Beton.

Innovation and sustainability will be the key themes of the 2010 edition and will be explored through a packed programme of conferences, study days and focus events.
At the centre of the show is the Construction Technique Forum, an important appointment featuring meetings and initiatives exploring the strategic role played by construction techniques within the building industry with particular emphasis on innovation and the recent technical standards.
Two interesting new initiatives will be devoted to the city and the urban fabric. The first, Civitas, is a 3,000 sq.m virtual city designed for Uncsaal with a focus on continuous facades, integrated photovoltaic systems, solar heating, domotics, sun screening, door and window frames, façade coverings and accessories.
The second initiative, “Borghi e Centri Storici”, is devoted to the renovation and upgrade of more than 5,000 historic villages and old town centres in different Italian regions. During the days of the show the redevelopment projects will be proposed to the business world.

Decor&Color Show, the event devoted to colour and the latest solutions in the field of paints, glazes and decorative finishes, will also be back, as will Europolis, the show catering for the swimming pool, sports facility, fitness and urban design sectors.
The InstantHouse competition promoted by FederlegnoArredo in cooperation with the Milan Polytechnic is also eagerly awaited. The competition is open to students and new graduates from Italian and non-Italian faculties of Architecture, Engineering and Industrial Design, who should submit projects on the theme of “Temporary housing_SOUNDSCAPES” (environment and landscape of sounds in contemporary cities) that adapt design methods to address the problem of pollution, particularly environmental noise.

Tile Edizioni will be present at MADE expo (Hall 3, Stand D33) with the latest issues of Tile Italia and Tile International.

The 4th MADE expo will be held from 5 to 8 October 2011.
