New investments at the RAK Bangladesh plant
As part of the ongoing modernisation and automation of its sanitaryware production facilities, the RAK Group (UAE) has recently installed and started up a robotized glazing line at its plant near Dhaka, Bangladesh.
The new line, which is similar to the previous one supplied by Sacmi/Gaiotto in 2010, is equipped with a 4-position turret and a Gaiotto GA2000 8-axis robot.
In addition to a marked increase in productivity, this latest investment has granted the company excellent results in terms of final product quality. This is largely the outcome of using the Masscontrol® system which controls the quantity of dry glaze applied on the various glazed pieces, ensuring a degree of consistency that would otherwise be impossible.
