New kiln started up at Emilceramica

The new roller kiln for firing 600x600 and 800x800 mm format tiles has been recently started up at Emilceramica's plant in Fiorano.

Designed and produced by I.C.F. & Welko (Maranello, Italy), the kiln is 130 m long and 2,950 mm wide and has a production capacity of 8,000 sqm/day with firing cycles of 50 minutes and consumption of 390 kcal/kg.

The machine is characterised above all by its high performance in relation to energy saving: it is equipped with the new high efficiency combustion systems with recovery of hot air at high temperature coming from the cooling zone.

Optimisation of consumption is extremely easy and decided by the operator: recovery air temperature, volumes, quantity of oxygen and pressure in the channel are all parameters that can be controlled by the operator and can be automatically associated with the firing curves and products.
