Oscar Zannoni has died
Oscar Zannoni, chairman and managing director of the Ceramiche Ricchetti Group, an industrial holding that now operates numerous factories throughout Europe and reported a turnover of 241 million euro in 2008, died unexpectedly this morning.
Oscar Zannoni had an illustrious entrepreneurial career that began in 1965 with the acquisition of the company Smov, followed in 1992 by the creation of Industrie Ceramiche Cisa-Cerdisa Spa and subsequently the merger with Gruppo Ceramiche Ricchetti Spa, listed on the stock market from 1996 onwards. He also played an important role in ceramic industry associations. He was chairman of Assopiastrelle from 1993 to 1997 and Chairman of the European Ceramic Tile Manufacturers’ Association since 1997.
