Partecipants at Tecnargilla Design Award 2016

This year too, Tecnargilla rewarded the best ideas and innovative projects aiming towards increasingly widespread and unconventional use of ceramics.

The 4th edition of Tecnargilla Design Award saw the participation of eleven machinery and paint manufacturers: Colorobbia Italia, Digital Design, Emar Impianti, Esmalglass Itaca, Esmaltes, LB Officine Meccaniche, Metco, Sacmi, Sertile, Surfaces, System Group and Torrecid Group.

This year, the competing companies had to tackle the theme of "Light and Shadow", presenting innovative and original projects using all the technologies, colours, decorations and finishes that combine to determine the aesthetics of ceramic tiles.

The projects on show were judged by a qualified jury made up of technical and creative directors of ceramics companies, ceramic tile retailers, designers and journalists.

The winning project was Mutant from System, awarded for its excellent response to the five requisites asked for by the jury: aesthetics, versatility, commercial potential, originality and innovative technological content.
