Porcellan starts up production
Porcellan, a United Arab Emirates based ceramic company founded in 2007 by the large industrial group Jamal Al Ghurair, recently started up an enormous facility near Abu Dhabi. With a production capacity of 18 million square metres a year, Porcellan will soon be one of the largest porcelain tile production centres in the whole of the Gulf region.
The first collections produced consist of large-format glazed or soluble salt decorated porcelain tiles, as well as through-bodied porcelain tiles produced using Croma technology, all of which principally reproduce natural materials. The available sizes range from 40x40 cm to 120x120 cm.
Porcellan already has a global distribution network and has also presented its 2009 catalogue featuring around 20 floor and wall tile collections with sophisticated style and design.
