The Portuguese building and construction exhibition Tektonica returns
Tektonica, Portugal’s most important exhibition for the building and construction industry, was held from 19 to 23 May in Lisbon. The Parque das Nacoes exhibition centre hosted 3 different theme shows: SK, showcasing ceramic floor and wall tiles, SIMAC devoted to materials, machinery and equipment for building, and SIROR, an exhibition of natural stone.
The exhibition closed with 78.000 visitors and 700 exhibitors in a net exhibition space of 45.000 square metres.
The key themes of the event – environmental sustainability and urban redevelopment – explored through seminars and conferences highlighting new ideas and proposals for energy saving.
The 2009 edition of Tektonica focused on internationalisation, with particular attention to the markets of North Africa, the Middle East and PALOP (Official Portuguese Language African Countries).
