Riedhammer supplies kilns to Ukrainian firm Slavutskiy Budfarfor
Slavutskiy Budfarfor, a joint venture between Sanitec and Ukrainian private investors, has chosen to boost the production capacity of its plant at Slavuta in northwest Ukraine with the aim of increasing its market share in Eastern Europe. The core of the investment consists of a tunnel kiln from Riedhammer, a Sacmi group member company specialising in firing systems for ceramic tiles and sanitaryware.
The TWS model kiln with length of 147 metres and width of 3.6 metres was installed, tested and started up last February, and provides a daily output of some 4,200 pieces. The Sacmi-Riedhammer supply package also includes an HWS model 9-car shuttle kiln capable of re-firing up to 1,100 pieces a day.
