Roca Group to build a new production plant in Kazakhstan

The Spanish multinational’s €70 million investment in a new facility marks a key step forward in its growth strategy for Central Asia.

Roca Group, the world’s leading manufacturer of ceramic sanitaryware and complete bathroom solutions, has selected Kazakhstan for its next industrial investment. The project is part of the company’s broader international expansion strategy, which already includes 79 production sites across Europe, North Africa, the Americas and Asia.

During an official meeting with the Kazakh Prime Minister Oljas Bektenov, Roca Group’s chairmen Santiago de Gomar and José Mª Roca signed an agreement to establish a new production and logistics hub in Kazakhstan, confirming the role of the country as a future strategic industrial, technological and commercial centre for the group’s operations in Central Asia.

The plant, to be built in the Ondiris industrial zone in the Kyzylorda region, will cost a total of €70 million and will be used to manufacture and assemble ceramic sanitaryware, concealed cisterns, bathroom furniture and accessories. It will have an annual capacity of 500,000 units and will serve both the domestic market and the wider Central Asian region.

While Prime Minister Bektenov reiterated the government’s full support for the project, recognising its potential to attract foreign investment and boost the local economy. The investment reaffirms Roca Group’s commitment to innovation, sustainable growth and the creation of local value.
