Rokhceram doubles its capacity with Manfredini & Schianchi
During the exhibition Cerafair held last June in Teheran, Manfredini & Schianchi signed a supply contract to double the production capacity of the company Rokhceram Kavir Co. of Meybod, in the Yazd region of Iran.
Rokhceram, which has been using MS-Drytech technology since 2011, is a milling and granulation facility that supplies ceramic granulate to numerous ceramic companies in the Yazd area. Following the forthcoming expansion, it will have a capacity of around 1,000 tons/day.
By implementing quality control of the facility and using a body based on local raw materials formulated in the Manfredini & Schianchi technology centre in Sassuolo, Rokhceram and its customers will be able to adopt extremely low-cost technology with zero environmental impact. The plant will produce red body ceramic stoneware tiles in sizes up to 50x50 cm, 40x80 cm and 60x60 cm, fired at a temperature of just 1,110°C, with water absorption of 3% and breaking load below 300 kg/cm2.
Also in the Yazd ceramic manufacturing area, Manfredini & Schianchi was recently tasked with increasing the production capacity and quality of the dry milling plant it supplied in 2012 to Ardakan Golceram, one of the best-known ceramic tile producers in the region. The plant has a capacity of 25 tons/h and features Manfredini & Schianchi's latest technological innovations for quality control of ceramic powders, including the Molomax MS 6/230 mill and the Forgia MS38L granulation unit, complete with an automatic moisture control system.Did you find this article useful?
