Sacmi partners a major project in South America
Sacmi recently supplied a new line with a capacity of a million pieces per year to Fanaloza, a sanitaryware manufacturer based in Penco, southern Chile, and a member of the Cisa Group.
An intermittent kiln, a tunnel kiln and three AVE 040 machines for the production of WCs with stuck-on rims were installed and started up at the South American factory. Fanaloza also now has an ALS 150 L machine for the production of washbasins and pedestals and four robotic glazing lines, including three for WCs, washbasins and pedestals – effectively the complete range of articles – and one specialised in one-piece glazing.
Besides Chile, the Cisa Group has factories throughout the Americas, most significantly in Venezuela and Ecuador where it also has its own distribution network, while in the United States Cisa owns the famous Briggs brand name. The project completed in the city of Penco was the largest to have been carried through in the sanitaryware sector in South America in the last five years.
