Saloni Ceramica to plan its supply chain
The ceramic group will adopt DPM technology for supply chain planning and production plan management, a key factor in the ceramic sector. The company believes that optimising its logistic chain will allow it to obtain more precise sales forecasts, reduce stock, cut logistic costs and ultimately assure a higher level of service to end customers.
Toolsgroup has already gained enormous experience in supply chain planning in the most diverse industrial sectors: distributors of chemical products, hardware, pharmaceuticals, distributors of electrical and electronic components, spare parts, building, retail, fashion, etc. Toolsgroup's customers include sector leaders such as Repsol, Luxottica, Ferrari Auto, Delphi Automotive Systems, PC City, Castrol and Manfrotto.
Toolsgroup, a leading European group specialising in supply chain planning and optimisation solutions, has developed a technology capable of planning and guaranteeing a high level of service while at the same time significantly reducing warehouse stock.
The group was founded by researchers from MIT in Boston and the University of Tel Aviv, who since the early 1980s have been involved in logistic restructuring projects worldwide. Toolsgroup's core application, the DPM (Distribution Planning Model) suite, integrates advanced functions for strategic cost-benefit evaluation, demand planning, service level planning, stock optimisation, and calculation of production and distribution requirements. Toolsgroup has branches in Holland, Italy, UK and Spain.
