Sanikey starts up with Sacmi plant
The newly formed Turkish company Sanikey will produce high-end sanitaryware. Built in just four months, the factory located in the Istanbul area will have an annual production of 200,000 vitreous china and fireclay articles.
The flagship products will be the large designer washbasins produced using high-pressure casting machines supplied by Sacmi. The machines used range from the ALS 150 for washbasins to the AVML 150 for WCs. Drying is also performed using Sacmi machinery - in this case shuttle dryers - while firing is performed using a Riedhammer shuttle kiln.
A new glazing robot supplied by Gaiotto Automation will soon be installed.
