S.C.F. Colorificio Ceramico opens branch in China
The glaze and colour producer S.C.F. of Spezzano di Fiorano (province of Modena, Italy) recently finalised the formation of a new Chinese company devoted to the production of colouring oxides for the ceramic industry.
The newco, which will be owned 70% by S.C.F. and 30% by a Chinese partner, has been named Foshan Huayi Ceramic Colours and is located in the Foshan area (GuangDong). When up to full-scale production it will have a capacity of approximately 2,000 tons/year of colouring oxides. The factory extends over an area of 7,000 sq.m, including 4,200 sq.m under cover. It has currently started up four kilns and produces about 60 tons/month of colouring oxides.
