SITI B&T and Sinar Karya
The Indonesian ceramic manufacturer Sinar Karya has renewed its longstanding technological partnership with SITI B&T Group (Formigine, Italy). With this new order, Sinar Karya aims to improve the efficiency of its drying and firing installations by increasing productivity and reducing consumptions while continuing to satisfy the sector's current standards.
The dryers and kilns have been upgraded using new systems from SITI B&T that improve product quality while lowering consumptions. A new layout has also been adopted to optimise the use of available space. To increase productivity, two 5-layer horizontal dryers suitable for all types and sizes of products have been installed along with two single-layer dryers capable of reusing hot air from the kilns. The hot air recovery system has also been suitably modified.
Special care has been devoted to plant design to ensure the maximum efficiency in terms of uniformity of ventilation, energy savings, automatic management and ease of access for maintenance. The hyper-convective exchange ensures a maximum temperature difference of 5°C across the product.
