Sok (Russia) expands in sanitaryware and tile sector
Syzranskaya Keramika, a ceramic sanitaryware manufacturer belonging to the Russian Sok group, has reached full-scale production at its factory in Syzran, in the Samara region. The new plant, the only one in Russia to operate solely with high-pressure machines and resin moulds, has an annual production capacity of around a million pieces, divided into four complete product sets. It also has fully robotic glazing systems. All products meet European standards to allow Sok to expand its exports to EU markets.
The Sok Group's technological partner is the Sacmi Group, which has also been asked to offer its expertise on body and glazing with local raw materials and to develop model making and a technical and technological training service for personnel.
In the porcelain tile sector Sok has an annual production capacity of 7 million sq.m.
CMF was commissioned last year to install a new machine for the Sok production facility, which has been using the Veltile unfired tile polishing machine since 2006. This new machine delivers reliability, precision, product stability and high aesthetic value, as well as a high production capacity.
