The technological efficiency of Ancora Group
At Tecnargilla 2010, Ancora Group presented Ancora Tutor, an innovative remote machinery supervision and control system designed for the polishing sector. Unlike conventional systems, Ancora Tutor uses a wireless touchscreen terminal and displays a complete description of any problems along with appropriate solutions, giving technicians complete control over the process stages in order to improve efficiency and production capacity. At Tecnargilla in Rimini, the Ancora Group also displayed its new range of ceramic tile squaring machines, which have been entirely redesigned to ensure superior belt protection and to improve ergonomics and accessibility.
But the most important new development was the introduction of numerical control on all the machine’s axes of movement. This makes it possible to set the tile calibre and adjust the amount of material removed by each tool automatically and perfectly symmetrically.
Under the Hi Coat mark, the group also presented its new EcoCat photocatalytic treatment for curtain walls and interior and exterior ceramic wall tiling, a self-cleaning and above all environmentally-friendly treatment that is capable of dispersing polluting organic particles. This nanotechnology-based product acts in the presence of sunlight and can be applied to polished, lapped and natural tiles, bringing clear advantages in terms of cost and effectiveness.
