Tecnargilla 2010, technology looks to the future
Tecnargilla, the world’s foremost exhibition of technologies and supplies for the ceramic and brick industries organised by Rimini Fiera in cooperation with Acimac (Italian Ceramic Plant and Machinery Manufacturers’ Association), will be back again in 2010.
As the promotional campaign prepares to get under way, the dates of the twenty-second Tecnargilla have been officially announced: from Monday 27 September to Friday 1 October 2010 in the Rimini exhibition centre. Tecnargilla will be held in the same period as Cersaie to make it easier for international attendees to visit the two events. The experience of the 2008 edition persuaded the organisers to confirm this strategy.
The 2008 figures confirm Tecnargilla’s role as the unchallenged world leading show for suppliers to the ceramic and brick industries. A gross exhibition space of 80,000 square metres, 31,432 visitors (1.9% up on 2006), and more than 700 exhibitors are the main figures from the last event. The most positive figure is certainly the high attendance of international visitors, who accounted for 39.2% of the total public of Tecnargilla 2008. This was a sharp increase relative to the 35.9% of 2006. The top ten countries of origin of visitors include all the world’s leading ceramic producing countries.
The biennial show will once again host the theme sections held at the last event: the fourth Kromatech, the aesthetics and colour show that is enjoying increasing success in terms of participation and appreciation amongst industry professionals; the third Claytech, the show devoted to heavy clay technologies; and for the third time Kermat, the space devoted to advanced ceramics.
