Tecnografica provides decorations for the Parco Astronomico delle Madonie
Tecnografica has been commissioned by the Sicilian regional government to support decorations for the Parco Astronomico delle Madonie, a prestigious astronomical observatory soon to be opened at Isnello in the province of Palermo.
Equipped with a planetarium, terrace and laboratories, the observatory project was strongly backed by the international scientific community and involved an investment of 7.5 million euros.
It will be one of the most advanced observatories in Europe with a newly designed telescope that can be operated remotely via an internet connection.
Besides the decorative aspects, Tecnografica will also supply equipment for the theme area where astronomical instruments are on show, including a set of sundials made of special inlaid porcelain tiles and based on drawings made by the famous gnomonist Giovanni Paltrinieri, a monumental globe, a Hipparchus circle and teaching equipment.
