Two PHO 451 Green presses have been started up at the Merzig tableware production facility.
Villeroy & Boch has started up two new Sacmi-Sama PHO 451 Green isostatic presses at its Merzig tableware production facility. The two presses feature automatic finishing and stand out for their exceptional versatility, enabling them to operate with both vacuum and pressure filling systems. They also display easy tool changeover and the possibility of installing any type of mould on the market, whether supplied by Sama or by third parties.
One of the two new presses has been connected to the existing finishing machine, while the second has been supplied together with an RFM, the exclusive, simple and efficient solution for finishing round articles. The system also features an off-moulding device to facilitate the demoulding of deep dishes. The new presses are equipped with solutions to minimise consumption, which has been reduced by more than a third compared to previous technology.
