Zschimmer & Schwarz acquires Euro Kimya, Turkey
As part of its international growth strategy, Zschimmer & Schwarz has acquired the entire share capital of Euro Kimya, a well-known Turkish supplier of chemical additives for the ceramic industry based in Istanbul. The acquisition strengthens the Zschimmer & Schwarz Group’s position in the Turkish chemical products market, particularly for the ceramic tile sector.
In this sector the activities up to now coordinated by the agent Orteks will be integrated into Euro Kimya, while all the Zschimmer & Schwarz Group’s other activities in the tableware, sanitaryware and refractories sectors in Turkey will continue to be organised through Orteks.
Zschimmer & Schwarz, founded in 1894 as a family-run business in Chemnitz, Germany, is now a multinational with 20 companies and more than 800 employees in Europe, Asia and America. Besides the ceramic industry, the group also produces high-performance auxiliary chemicals for the leather goods, textiles and industrial fibres, cosmetics and cleaning products sectors.
