Uzbekistan: real estate investments in the capital
Uzbekistan’s capital Tashkent is attracting the interest of real estate investors, with three projects currently underway in the city-centre district of Yakkasaray.
The first involves the construction of a 41-storey building complex and a four-level shopping centre on a 1.6-hectare site. The total investment amounts to 907 billion Som (more than 75 million euros) and is managed by a local company in collaboration with Turkish and British partners.
The second project, worth 706 billion Som (58.4 million euros), involves the construction of a mixed-use residential and hotel complex and a business centre, while the third consists of a five-storey shopping centre, a hotel and a number of residential buildings for a total investment of 150 billion Som (12.4 million euros).
