The ceramic community meets on Tecna Next

Ceramic World Web will contribute to the innovative digital platform by publishing content and organising more than ten technical webinars in partnership with IEG through to next September.

Tecna Next, the first digital platform devoted to suppliers of technologies, materials and services for the ceramic and surfaces industry, was launched online on 26 October. The initiative will cater for the entire international community of Tecnargilla, the sector’s leading trade fair due to be held from 27 September to 1 October 2021. Rather than a virtual trade fair lasting just a few days, Tecna Next will be the first sector-specific social network and for the next ten months will be an exclusive digital meeting place for ceramic industry professionals.

Among the main contributors to the innovative platform are Ceramic World Web and Ceramic World Review, which will publish their content on Tecna Next and will partner with IEG - Italian Exhibition Group to organise a packed programme of monthly events and technical webinars through to September 2021.

The inaugural conference entitled “Ceramics: What’s Next? - New technologies for the ceramics of the future” will be held on 26 November and will offer an overview of the most interesting innovations developed by companies in recent months.

This will be followed from January onwards by in-depth analysis of the most topical issues in the field of ceramic production, including antibacterial surfaces, the latest advances in finishing technologies, focus events on advanced smart factories, new developments in green processes, technologies for the production of sanitaryware and bricks, and new raw materials for highly innovative products.

A highly international audience

Tecna Next is envisaged as a constantly expanding tool for opening up new business opportunities, a digital platform that demonstrates the unifying power of the Tecnargilla brand name and its ability to meet the needs of international customers.

This international reach is demonstrated by the more than 500 buyers and operators from 49 countries (particularly Italy, Spain, Algeria, Germany, the United Arab Emirates, Turkey, the United States and Brazil) who have already registered on the platform in the space of just 10 days, while the organisers hope to see this figure double by the end of November. The response clearly demonstrates the market’s need for new communication and information opportunities in the absence of traditional in-person events.

Registered exhibitors, including leading brands such as Sacmi, System Ceramics, Breton, BMR, Tecnografica, I-Tech, F.M., Dellas and Italdiamant, will have the opportunity to reach out to the market through their own multimedia content, company events and of course direct interaction and contact.
