Ceramic machinery: the forecasts for 2007

14/06/07 - The growth forecasts in world ceramic tile production and consumption are a major cause for optimism for the Italian ceramic machinery manufacturers.

Besides the purely quantitative aspect, the sector is benefiting from the continuously growing need on the part of the tile producers to improve the quality of their products. The Italian technology suppliers therefore maintain a key role as they are able to offer a wide range of solutions, effects and designs and thus influence prevailing trends.

As for markets, we can expect to see an increase in technology investments in Italy and in Europe as a whole. Demand is also expected to pick up in the Middle East, while South America and Africa also have good growth potential.

Overall, therefore, 2007 is expected to bring a substantial consolidation of turnover for the Italian ceramic machinery sector in an essentially stable market.
