Ceramica di Valore, a successful conference attended by more than 250 industry professionals
The conference hall was packed out throughout the entire day, as attendees eagerly followed the high-level presentations delivered by an exceptional lineup of speakers.
The technical conference Ceramica di Valore (“Ceramics of Value”), organised by Ceramic World Review and CeramicWorldWeb in collaboration with Acimac, once again proved to be a highly engaging and insightful event, attracting interest among all players in the ceramic industry supply chain, from technology and material suppliers to tile manufacturers.
Held on Wednesday 11 December at the RMH Des Arts Hotel in Baggiovara (Modena), this second edition of the conference was attended by more than 250 professionals and was divided into morning and afternoon sessions featuring a series of thought-provoking presentations given by representatives of leading Italian companies.
The 2024 conference once again focused on the value of ceramic products and the way in which technologies and materials can be used to improve their competitiveness by enhancing aesthetics, technical quality and sustainability. The programme featured a total of 16 technical presentations. The morning session was devoted to innovations in digital decoration with contributions from System Ceramics, Colorobbia, Sacmi, Vetriceramici, Projecta, Sicer, Kerajet, Smaltochimica and Durst. In the afternoon, presentations by Imerys, Sacmi, Solar Turbines, BMR, Surfaces Group and Gruppo B&T highlighted innovations aimed at creating more efficient and sustainable processes. The day concluded with a well-received presentation by Stefano Lugli, Head of Acimac’s Technical Department, who discussed the Transition 5.0 Plan and provided concrete examples of its application within the ceramic sector.
“This was probably the best technical conference we have organised in recent years,” said Ceramic World Review’s Editor-in-Chief Paola Giacomini. “Both sessions were highly engaging, thanks to the exceptional quality of the content provided by the speakers, all of whom were top-level professionals with a forward-looking perspective. The represented brands undoubtedly reflect the very best this sector has to offer the ceramic industry. They maintained the attention of the large audience throughout the entire day by sharing detailed insights into their current research, in many cases offering a preview of future developments.”
The conference was attended by a diverse and highly qualified audience attracted by the high calibre of the presentations and the prominence of the companies involved. Attendees included product development managers, laboratory technicians, technical directors, energy managers and entrepreneurs from tile manufacturing companies, as well as university lecturers, consultants and representatives from across the ceramic industry supply chain, including raw material manufacturers, glaze and colour producers and machinery manufacturers.
The format, which this year also included a networking lunch and a final toast for Christmas greetings, was much appreciated by both attendees and speakers. The success of the conference reinforces Ceramic World Review and CeramicWorldWeb’s commitment to organise Ceramica di Valore as a regular event.
“This is certainly a challenging period for the ceramic industry, but it is precisely for this reason that we believe events like Ceramica di Valore are so important,” said Acimac Chairman Paolo Lamberti. “They provide an opportunity to explore key topics and discuss the new frontiers of our sector to identify where and how we can further raise standards within our industry.”
The conference also provided an opportunity for the leading magazine in the ceramic industry to share a significant milestone with its partners and readers: in 2025, Ceramic World Review will celebrate 35 years of publication. This important anniversary follows decades of growth and success underscored by impressive results and will be marked by celebrations throughout the coming year.
