Cerrad opens a state-of-the-art large-size tile factory
Polish ceramic tile manufacturer Cerrad has completed the construction of a new factory for the production of large-size porcelain tiles up to 160x320 cm, the largest format available on the Polish market.
This is Cerrad’s third production plant to be built in Starachowice, the city 150 km south of Warsaw where the company is based. Following an investment of around 28 million euros, this latest fully-automated plant is one of the most modern tile production facilities in the world, equipped with cutting-edge technology that will enable Cerrad to expand its range of large-size products.
The factory occupies a covered area of 32,000 sq.m and has already begun production with an output of 4 million sq.m of tiles per year and a workforce of 80 employees.
“Our production plant is the result of a development strategy focused on investments in infrastructure and technology with the aim of supplying innovative products and setting new trends in interior design,” said Cerrad’s Chairman Paweł Bąk. “I have no doubt that the ULTIME 160x320 cm large format tiles set such a trend, enabling us to offer products that were not previously available on the market. We make designers’ and investors’ dreams come true.”
