COLLECTIO, the Colorobbia event in Vietnam is a big success
Local producers appreciated the new initiative organised by Colorobbia, which will be repeated as an annual touring event to showcase Italian products around the world.
COLLECTIO, the event organised by Colorobbia on 5 and 6 July at the Hotel Le Méridien in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, was a resounding success.
Rather than a traditional open house, it was a two-day technical and networking event designed to inform the Vietnamese ceramic industry about the latest Italian innovations in terms of products, technologies, applications, design and new trends. The new format proved very popular with participants, consisting of managers and technicians from the 20 most important local ceramic companies representing 70% of the Vietnamese market.
Along with Colorobbia itself, presentations were given by all the leading Italian suppliers of materials, machinery, plants and services: Industrie Bitossi, Lamberti, Smaltochimica, LB, Sacmi, BMR, System Ceramics, SITI B&T, Projecta, Digital Design, Stylgraph, Fabbrica del Sale, Nitida, SMAC, Surfaces, Tecnoferrari and Tecnodiamant.
First to speak was Alessio Londi (Colorobbia), who recalled how the Italian group took its first steps in the Vietnamese market back in the 1980s, before opening a local branch in late 2017. Colorobbia Vietnam’s core business is the production of inks and glazes, as well as the distribution of products such as zirconium, grits, pigments and specialties manufactured in Europe and Indonesia. Alongside its production activities, the branch has a team of experienced designers and technicians ready to work with local customers and help them achieve the highest Italian levels of quality. After five years of activity with Colorobbia Vietnam, the Italian glaze and colour producer now aims to consolidate its presence in the country and become the most important brand in the ASEAN area as a whole.
Building on the success of this first edition, Colorobbia will transform COLLECTIO into a touring event that will travel to a new country every year.
