Comet supplies K4 casting unit to Kerasan

A new low-pressure casting line for plaster moulds built by Comet has been installed at the Kerasan facility (Viterbo, Italy). The line consists of 40 moulds and joins the six already present in the factory.

The machines will be used for casting large WCs and bidets and have an overturning facility to allow the pieces to be cast with the rim at the bottom, resulting in high-quality products. The plant’s ease of use and compact design (mould distance 70 cm), the large airflows used to dry the mould and the speed of changeovers are just a few of the characteristics that make it extremely versatile and productive. In 2011, the Comet, Sait and Coeltunnel group will be taking part in the exhibitions Indian Ceramics (India, 15 to 17 March) and Mosbuild (Russia, 5 -8 April).
