Italian ceramic technology hosted at Expo Revestir

The Italian ceramic machinery manufacturers coordinated by Acimac fly to Brazil for Expo Revestir.

Following the appointment in India, the Italian Ceramic Machinery and Equipment Manufacturers’ Association Acimac is continuing its promotional campaign with a trip to Brazil for the exhibition Expo-Revestir, to be held from 12 to 15 March in the Transamérica Expo Center in São Paulo.

Acimac will be taking part in South America’s most important exhibition for the sanitaryware and ceramic tile and finishings sectors with a more than 200 sq.m joint pavilion hosting 9 Italian companies: BMR, Certech, ICF&Welko, LB, Perissinotto, Poppi Clementino, Sacmi, Tecnoferrari and WM Commercial.

Brazil is the world’s third largest ceramic tile producer with a 2017 output of 790 million sq.m (0.3% down on the previous year). In 2018 Brazilian tile exports grew by 17.3% year-on-year to 106 million sq.m, close to the record figures achieved in the first half of the 2000s. South America is the fifth largest market for Italian ceramic machinery exports with sales of 168.6 million euros in 2017 (10.2% of the total).

The next stops in Acimac’s promotional programme will be Mosbuild (Russia), Coverings (USA), CICEE (China), ASEAN Ceramics (Thailand) and Ceramic Expo Bangladesh.
